Getting help and honouring God.

Effective Biblical tools!

We are blessed to have the Bible. But having knowledge and living for Jesus doesn’t make us independent from human support. My fav author, Ellen White, states:

‘Counsel together’ is the message which has been again and again repeated to me by the angel of God.” {CT 92.2} “Some have a natural independence which leads them to think more highly of their own judgment than of that of their brethren. In so doing they place themselves where they fail to obtain much knowledge that God would have them gain”. {HS 125.1}

We do get stuck from time to time, none of us are immune from that. Past issues that get in the way of growth or current pain we can’t ignore it any longer. Sometimes we need help with what we are going through and we can’t share that with just anyone!

Some wonder isn’t prayer and Bible study isn’t enough?

Absolulely, often it is! God’s word is powerful and He is ready to give us the “peace that passeth understanding.” But, in our human weakness we don’t always know how to put it all together in a practical way. We often can’t see past our own biases,That’s why we are told to buy eye salve, because we can’t see all our flaws.” Solomon says this, “Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14. Even Jesus asked His disciples to pray for Him in His hour of need.

Let’s face it, there are some secrets, traumas, habits, and challenges we wouldn’t want to share with just anyone. It may be too painful, too embarrassing, too awful. Let me assure you there is nothing you can say that will put me off. I have heard all kinds of stories from severe abuse to various addictions to anger issues to infidelity, identity issues, and more. God loves you, there is nothing you can think, feel, or do to change that!

How does it work?

To get started, book a free 20min consultation. You’ll need good internet, a web cam, and private location. You’ll have the opportunity to tell me briefly what your needs are and to ask questions. After the consultation, if we both feel it’s a good fit, you’ll do an intake session, where we will talk more about your needs, personal history, and set some goals. After the intake, we work together each week to find solutions. Warning!! There will be homework required.

NOTE: I recommend Seventh-day Adventist’s consider life coaching as this is more flexible. Coaching avoids conflicts should we see each other at church events, camp meetings, or health seminars. Counselling is a strictly professional and we can only meet during sessions.

Don’t wait to feel better.
