Angela Poch, RPC; TEAM-CBT Level 5 Master Therapist, Coach & Trainer
I’m Angela Poch, a counsellor, coach, and TEAM-CBT trainer with a background in both emotional and chronic health challenges. I bring a compassionate, structured approach that helps individuals move forward when they feel stuck by their painful emotions, limiting beliefs, negative thoughts, procastination, ADHD issues, and/or past traumas. My role is to guide you with tools that support genuine, lasting growth.
About Working with Me
I’m I Right for You?
Let me start with the reasons you might not want to work with me.
I am task oriented, solution focused, and a bit cheeky which isn’t always the right fit. I have fibromyalgia, I go long stretches feeling great and then suddenly have a flare-up that forces me to reschedule with little notice. This happens 2–4 times a year. You may never be affected, or you might book during a rough patch and get rescheduled (free of course) 2 or 3 x.
I require 5 to 30 mins of daily homework such as reading/listening to a book, worksheets, do activities even when you don’t’ feel like it, and a commitment to regular sessions. While I’ve had clients have 50-100% recovery in one session, we all relapse. Real change doesn’t happen from talking for an hour or two —it happens when you implement the tools over time to build healthy neuropathways.
And lastly, I don’t offer long-term supportive talk therapy or philosophical exploration of childhood or trauma just to understand why you are the way you are. My work is focused and designed to help you outgrow me— by building skills to work through your painful emotions, limiting thoughts, and self-defeating beliefs wherever they come from.
My services, coaching or counselling, are not appropriate for those with an intent to harm themselves or others, or for individuals dealing with serious mental illness. If you’re unsure, we’ll talk about it during the consultation and make sure you get the right support. If I’m not the right fit, here are trusted TEAM-CBT resources:

Still here? Great. Let’s talk about what working with me is like or you can explore more about who I am here.
What Working With Me Is Like
My approach is warm, structured, and rooted in TEAM-CBT— deep and practical with a bit of humor. I offer 105-minute sessions ($400 cad), discounts available see booking page, for both coaching and counselling, meeting 2–3 times per month. Sessions include clear direction, powerful methods, and meaningful homework to keep your progress going between meetings.
If you want a stronger jump-start, I also offer a 165-minute mini-intensive as a separate option.
Financial Limitations? I occasionally offer a free one-time session IF a mini-intensive is a good match. If you’d like to be considered, submit the screening form BEFORE our 20min consultation.
Coaching vs Counselling
Counselling: A regulated, legally protected service focused on treating mental-health disorders. I can only provide counselling to clients in Canada.
Coaching: A flexible, goal-focused partnership for building tools, confidence, peace of mind, and emotional resilience. Coaching is not appropriate for abuse situations, PTSD/OCD treatment, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, or severe addictions.
Note: Once we begin one type of work, we cannot switch to the other. To learn more and decide which is right for you visit coaching vs counselling here.
